Baked Brie in Phyllo
Brie can be enjoyed on its own, but it's often a star in elegant appetizers or cheese boards. Whether baked in a crusty phyllo dough or simply paired with crusty bread and fresh fruit, it's a favorite for gatherings, bringing a touch of sophistication to any occasion. an elegant presentation, consider wrapping the Brie in phyllo dough, creating a flaky, golden crust when baked. Serve it warm, allowing the cheese to melt slightly, and pair it with an assortment of crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh fruit like grapes and apple slices.

Recipe:
1/4 cup apricot preserves
1 - 15 oz. wheel Brie
5-6 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
optional - fresh dill weed, red and green grapes, apples, pears
Spread preserves on top of brie. Wrap brie in thawed phyllo dough, brushing each sheet with melted butter or margarine (keep unused phyllo covered with a damp cloth while wrapping brie). Turn cheese over after applying a sheet of phyllo for even distribution. Brush phyllo-wrapped brie with butter or margarine. Cover; refrigerate. Before serving, place phyllo-wrapped cheese in a shallow baking pan. Bake in a 425-degree oven for 8-12 minutes or until golden. Let stand for 10 minutes. Garnish with dill and grapes, apples and pears.
