Ugly Dogs
The Ugly Dog Appetizer is a savory and sweet treat made by wrapping crispy bacon around a bite-sized piece, often a sausage or hot dog, and coating it with brown sugar. When baked, the brown sugar caramelizes, creating a delicious glaze that contrasts perfectly with the smoky bacon. This crowd-pleasing appetizer is simple yet indulgent, ideal for parties or casual gatherings.
Recipe:
1lb bacon, each piece halved, 1 package hotdogs cut into 32 pieces, 1 box of dark brown sugar, toothpicks.
Wrap bacon around hotdog and secure with a toothpick. Put into Crock-Pot. Put brown sugar on top. Cook for 3 hours on high and 3 hours on low. You can adjust to how well-done you like them.
